About 25 cm high above soil-level.

update_small_leaved_prunus

I think the Prunus cerasifera is doing well.
Sorry for the helmet-shaped crown-design.
I will fix that in the near future, the green parts of the composition are too
small anyway ...

update_lindenclump

A picture as of today just for the record.
In spring there is a word in German to discribe the colouration: "lindgrün".
'Could be translated as "linden-green".
This fesh green-hue will turn to a much darker one very soon.
What a pitty, but such is springtime ...

... to produce bonsai-pots.
This was my first attempt to create a training-pot
using cement-mortar like it is utilized in Vietnam.
Maybe I will continue this method, if the result is reasonably fine.
Tomorrow the pot will be seperated from the construction-platform.
If it's okay, I will report.

tortured_trees_?

Dear blog-vievers ...

Today, as an exception, an issue on my own behalf.

Due to current responses (+ outside this blog),
there is something I have to point out clearly!

When I am saying
(especially in my raw-material-development-postings) :

"... find the smallest tree ... "

I am meaning:

" ... Reduce the tree to the "less is more"-state of design,
on wich health and energy of the tree is in n o  w a y endangered !!! ... "

For me, this basic-requirement is such a matter of course,
that i did not metion it.

Juniperus_communis_#1

On Monday this week I was lucky enough to find this Juniperus Communis in a small nursery.

The truncline showed a Crossing of two branches and the straight trunc was a bit boring,
So a drastic decision according to the basic design had to be made.

I decided to use the left branch wich has almost  the dimensions of a subtrunc.
So here we go ... The raw-material after the first cut.

The first part of the new design. Heavy bendings and anchoring on the iron-bar  and trunc.
The bendings and primary wiring will be continued next week, after the first part has set.
